Phillips of Rochester Named LNA of the Year

CONCORD, N.H.,  Bonnie Phillips of Rochester was named Home Care LNA of the Year at the Home Care Association of New Hampshire’s Annual Meeting in Meredith, NH in June.  The LNA of the Year Award is presented annually by the Association to recognize outstanding care givers in home care.

Ms. Phillips is a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Cornerstone VNA. “For fourteen years Bonnie has brought positive energy, laughter and passion to her job and to the patients of Cornerstone VNA,” says Jennifer Gullison, Clinical Director at Cornerstone VNA. “She’s an amazing caregiver.  Returning patients ask for her specifically and the VNA has received many donations in her name from patients and their families. We are most fortunate to have her on our team.”

Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) provide basic patient care and assist with nursing procedures which often includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and assistance with self-administration of medicine.

The Home Care Association NH was established in 1974 to promote the delivery of high-quality health care in the home by offering education and networking opportunities for home healthcare professionals.  Its goal is also to provide leadership on home care issues, and serves as a home care advocate in the public policy arena.
